important for the conservation of biological diversity, is called a ramsar site or of international importance.
Besides the scenic beauty and biodiversity that it holds, the area is important as a buffer ecosystem during flooding. The wetlands play a very
important role in the water cycle, specially regulating water flows. In Monkey Lodge, you will walk through a swampy forest, interrupted by narrow,
dark water channels. Open your eyes and be prepared to discover how the energy flows through this ecosystem.
